About the role

As OT Data Engineer, you will be responsible for facilitating the implementation of data acquisition and management solutions and the subsequent use cases at Viralgen. You will oversee the technical engineering of systems, their interfaces to other systems to streamline data pipelines and enhance automation. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, including Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, R&D, and Engineering, as well as external service providers to ensure timely project delivery and promote the seamless adoption of new digital solutions.

 

Key Tasks:

  • Facilitate the implementation of data acquisition and management solutions at Viralgen, particularly within regulated environments both in the cloud or on premise. Foster close collaboration with internal teams, including manufacturing, engineering, quality, MSAT, and Digital/IT, as well as external service providers to ensure timely project delivery. Proactively engage in continuous learning and growth to broaden your scope of responsibilities.
  • Engineer system interfaces to streamline data pipelines and enhance automation.
  • Take the lead in driving changes to our data management solutions, ensuring their alignment with the latest standards and GMP compliance. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for IT Administration in resolving incidents.
  • Coordinate and lead the maintenance activities of the data acquisition and management solutions at Viralgen
  • Lead the development of fit-for-purpose, user-centric solutions within smaller projects, driving their implementation and delivering comprehensive project reports.
  • Contribute to user training efforts, promoting the seamless adoption of new digital solutions.
  • Maintain a keen awareness of industry trends and cutting-edge technologies to consistently enhance our data infrastructure. Collaborate with your supervisor to craft a personalized development plan, identifying training and skills that align with the future goals of our team and the company.
  • Collaborate effectively in all tasks essential to achieving our management objectives.

Requisitos

Skills & Qualifications:

  • S. degree in Engineering: computer science, software engineering, industrial engineering, chemical engineering or equivalent
  • Experience with biotechnological production processes and equipment
  • Experience with relational databases, SQL servers, and virtual machines
  • Initial experience in working in a GMP regulated environment and knowledge of GAMP and CSV
  • Official Degree or equivalent. Medium-high level of English, both written and spoken.
  • Capability to achieve jointly developed goals and deadlines. Capability to work autonomously in between periodic check-ins with superiors. Ability to re-prioritize actions in an agile manner towards the joint goals.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
